ErnestineGrindal SaraClarke

Ernestine Grindal is the creation of Sally Clarke in memory of her late mother, whose real name it was, and whose spirit has been a driving force in her art and never wanted to saddle a child with such a name as Ernestine! "Let's just give her a 'regular name' like Sally or Sara!" Sally grew up near New York City and has been drawing since she realized that crayons didn't taste very good and must have another purpose. She moved into Balsam Lane Studio, Blue Hill, Maine in 2001. Ernestine's Easel was added in 2007 as the the greeting card division of this small art studio. In April of 2013 Balsam Lane Studio moved to the village of Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Sally studied at Syracuse University, Lewis & Clark College and...
